The holidays aren't for eating perfectly. There's too many treats to avoid, so don't. Just don't binge every day. Pick a binge day, tell yourself it's not a diet day, and enjoy yourself. One or two days a week of enjoying all that eye candy is better than 31 days straight, after all. Happy Holidays around the dinner table!

All you need is a corner of a room (I use my dining room) and you have a wrapping station. A fold-up table, a roll of tape, and a pair of scissors. Then, after the holiday season, it can store away until next year. Christmas made easier!

Maybe it's scrubbing the toilet ... or sweeping the back porch ... or even making your child's bed. Let the little ones enjoy Cheerios for lunch and use your energy in better ways, ones that benefit YOU! You will laugh more and enjoy the holiday season better. Try it and see!

Try a new holiday recipe this year. It can be a cookie, pie, bread, or main dish. Here's one I've discovered: Apple Pie Bars. You might discover a new holiday favorite of your own!

Connect with each of your family members with an individual "date night." Spouse, son, daughter, even your parents. Give them your full attention while out on the town, and soon your whole family will feel energized and connected! Christmas cheer engaged!
