During the chill-bump days of February, cooking isn't always on your horizon. Take a day and meal prep for the week. Utilize your freezer and fridge, pull out your prepared dishes, and pop them into the microwave or oven. Meals done! (Money saved, too!)

You've heard of "no-spend" challenges. After the expenses of the Christmas holidays, the bills are finally rolling in, so, challenge yourself to a no-spend February. It IS the shortest month, so now's the time if ever! It doesn't mean NO spending, just no UNNECESSARY purchases. Give it a try. Your pocketbook will love you!

Something as simple as new stationary or a color-charged diary/journal can lift your spirits. Choose something bright or soothing, and you will likely feel better each time you pull it out.

Did you know that houseplants breathe through their leaves? Dust the tops regularly with a damp paper towel for a healthy shine and better absorption of light, but don't forget the underside. That's where the stomata (breathing pores) are found on most leaves. Healthy plants help make for a healthy life!

Just because January weather is frightful doesn't mean your social life can't be delightful. Friends over for dinner ... an afternoon movie event ... or an outing to the mall. Keep your connections strong, and you'll feel connected all winter long!
