Even if your exposed gutters are clear, your drains down the outside of your house can still back up if they are packed with debris. Work a garden hose into the drain (from the top or the bottom) and run it on high until the water flows freely. Fall and winter storms are no longer a worry!



Most soaps will repel deer. They are made with tallow, an animal by-product. Shave off some and sprinkle in the garden near your favorite plants. The range of protection is about a yard. You'll need to avoid cocoanut oil soap (Deer like it.) and change scents from time to time. Deer will get used to a scent and ignore it.
