Press a dry wire (or plastic) whisk into flour or powdered chocolate to easily remove as much as you need. Work it in and lift it straight out. The wisk will hold the flour inside, and you can shake it out into your bowl. Job done!



Use smaller ice trays for frozen yogurt treats. Drop in a few blueberries or other fruits (section larger ones), smooth in yogurt until filled, and freeze. Keep them in a freezer bag for a quick, yummy bite!


If you have extra lemons, you can store them in the fridge for months covered with water in a sealed container. Just pull one out when you need it, and it will be as fresh as when you put it in.


The green shaker lid from a parmesan cheese container will screw onto a mason jar. Use it to dispense baking soda on your carpets, laundry detergent in the wash, or even fertilizer on your garden plants! The uses are endless!


Roses, that is! Hydrate your bare-root roses from your local garden center for half a day before planting them. A two-foot wide hole will allow you to spread out the roots. Give them six hours of sun a day, and you will enjoy their blooms all summer long!
