Make yourself a five day challenge! Choose five rooms in your house to blitz in only a week. Toss, donate, sweep, mop, or dust. One chore for each room (or two chores each, if you have time). You will enjoy your home more, and you'll still be able to take the weekend off!

Try a clothesline this summer! For sheets, towels (consider using the dryer for your more personal items), or tee shirts. On sunny days, things will dry quickly and you'll love the fresh smell!

Level up is a video game term your kids likely know well, but it applies to your stone patio and walkways. If your foot catches on a stone, it might need leveled. You can pry it up, scoop out half an inch of soil, and add sand from the home store to relevel it. (The sand helps water drain faster!) Give it a try today!

We don't think of housecleaning as a party activity, but moving furniture to mop underneath can be hard work. Bribe a friend with a dessert or an hour of free babysitting to help you out. Play happy music, and you'll both have a great time!

Make impromptu trips to the park easier with a basket of summer necessities near the door. Sunscreen, shades, even insect repellant. No more looking, just grab and go! Have fun!
