Summer can be a lazy time (the heat saps your energy) but now's the time to revisit your fitness goals. A daily walk, time at the gym, or evenings at the park with the dog ... you can do this! You can create the new and healthy you!



Those summer clothes that no longer fit need to be donated. Spend time trying them on to see what to keep or donate. You can have your kids do the same. If they have outgrown it, into the donate basket it goes! Your closets will thank you!


With September looming, now's the time to add fall reminders to your diary or journal. Birthdays, events, appointments, you won't overlook a one when you have them listed in your diary! Get started today!


Check your stock of birthday and gift cards. It's nice to receive a joyful greeting in the mail. Add a special, hand-written note for the best effect. Add a ten or a twenty for nieces or nephews for a special treat. Then mail away!


Bulb season will be here before you know it. Now's the time to decide which varieties to buy and plant early. Whether in the ground for spring or in a pot for indoor joy, just follow the directions for those you choose. Christmas Hyachinths need to be planted before mid September for the Christmas season. Water them and keep them in a dark, cool location for 12 weeks before bringing them out when they are about an inch-and-a-half tall.
