Call it meditation if you want, but closing your eyes to sort out what's going on around you can reduce chronic pain, lift depression, boost your immune system, improve your mood, and amp up productivity. No calming drugs needed. Live a better life, and do it one internal pause at a time!



Uncooked pumpkin can make for a bad bedfellow for the family pet. If you decorate with pumpkins, be sure to keep them away from family pets to ensure they enjoy the season just as much as you! A safe pet is a happy pet!


If you haven't looked at it in the past week, you're probably not going to! File or trash WHATEVER is on your desk. The clear space will clear your thoughts, and you will have a better day than yesterday! Now, get started and don't stop until it's done!


And it's best before the flu season starts. Almost every pharmacy can provide flu shots, or visit your primary physician if you prefer. Fight back against winter, and now's the time. Be safe, be healthy, and enjoy life!


Okay, not TOO spooky. Fake spiders, maybe, or plastic googly eyes. Put them around your home and print a list of clues (more obvious for younger participants, naturally). Divide everyone into teams and set them free. If you have older kids, you might even extend your hunt outdoors. Be creative and have fun!
