10,000 steps a day is the goal for many! It's easy to get started. Just head outside for a walk! Along the way, take some deep breaths, stop and smell the roses, and catch up with a friend, either in person or on the phone! This day is yours. Enjoy every minute of it!



In warmer areas, April is the time to plant caladiums, begonias, and cannas directly outdoors. If your area is still frost-prone, start your bulbs with indoor grow lights. Happy gardening!


Water is the number one enemy of your home. A small leak from a window, door frame, or shower can cause damage in the thousands! A good tube of caulk is less than $10. If you can see a crack, then water can find it too. If you don't have the time to walk your entire house with a caulk gun, schedule one section at a time. Next year you will thank you!


Open your windows! Fresh air in your house will improve the quality of the air you breathe and help you focus on moving into your daily activities. Inhale! Ahh!


Cleaning too often goes awry from returning misplaced items instead of actual cleaning. Designate a "clutter basket" to drop everything extraneous into. When someone comes searching for their missing items, direct them to the clutter basket. Cleaning will be complete in half the time!
