Prep your car for winter travel with an emergency kit. Water, blankets, and snacks. Don't leave home without them. Getting stranded once will be worth your time. (Once a week, share the snacks with your kids and reload your kit.)

Set up your gift-wrapping supplies in a closet or behind a door. An underbed box is perfect. It's a way of keeping your tape, tags, and paper in one location. You'll have your gifts wrapped gingerbread quick!

Left-over tea stains in Thanksgiving's cups and mugs can be safely removed with a teaspoon of baking soda on a damp cloth. Rub gently in a circular motion, and the stains will vanish. As good as new once again!

Need to chill a drink quickly? Wrap it in a damp hand towel and place it in the freezer. It'll be icy cold in a quarter-hour. Just don't forget it or you'll be chipping away your towel!

Wipe your windshield wipers with white vinegar on a dampened cloth, and you'll say good-bye to windshield streaks. Repeat as needed.
