If you want to freshen up the fabrics in a room but aren't sure where to start, create a "fashion fabric" bulletin board. Attach samples of fabrics that interest you and try to live with them for a week or two. You'll soon know which you prefer, and you can begin your update with confidence!

It's time to look outside the house to keep March successful. Many trees shed in the spring, and your gutters can fill up fast. Before water backs up under your shingles or damages your foundation, clear your gutters and downspouts. You can add gutter screening for areas that tend to clog up quickly! Good drainage is on the way!

Getting started on cleaning can be overwhelming, so don't let the laundry, meal prep, and errands get in the way. Here's an easy step to that "I've got this!" feeling. Pick the cleanest area first (or a room that's seldom used) so you can see results FAST. Your success will be your motivation to KEEP AT IT!

Let's turn to the smallest room in the house to get your March organization started. Most bathrooms have little storage space, so a simple ladder-like structure that leans against the wall can be a perfect fit for towels or hand cloths. Zip-tie a small basket to it for sponges or hand soaps. Search "home decor ladder" for several options, including at Target and Amazon!

Have you checked into powerwashing the exterior of your home for spring? In my area, hiring a local company to do my entire exterior is between $150-200. If you want to do it yourself, you can rent a powerwasher from your local big box home store. Scrub-a-dub, clean home ahead!
