Just because it has cooled off doesn't mean your outdoor plants are no longer thirsty. Especially evergreens. They rarely wilt, but they need to be adequately watered until the ground freezes (and a light frost doesn't count). So, if your soil looks dry, drag out the hose and liberate those roots from their thirsty misery. Every two weeks is about right.
